New Tournament Options

The New Tournament Options window appears whenever you're starting a new draft in the Casual Play room. The fields in this window let you choose the options for an event you're starting.

If you're starting a casual Constructed format, Sealed Deck, or multiplayer event, or challenging another player, you'll see the New Game Options window instead.

Type
You can select either a Booster Draft, or Rochester Draft event.

Product Used
This gives you a list of types of booster packs you can use in the draft.

Round Length
You can select either 70 min or 60 min for the length of each round. Each player gets half of the time limit for the round to play. See Clocks & Time Limits for more information.

Start each round
You can set an amount of time between the last game to finish in a round and the beginning of the next round. Choosing As soon as possible begins a new round almost immediately after the last game finishes in the previous round.

Deck construction time limit
This sets how much time players have to build their decks after the drafting portion of the event is over. If all players submit their decks before the time limit, the first round will begin immediately.

Draft pick time limit
You set how quickly players must make their picks when a pack is passed to them. If a player doesn't pick before time runs out, Magic Online will pick a random card for them.

Description
You can type in a brief comment about the event you're setting up. When a player points his or her mouse at the table (in graphic view) or reads the description (in spreadsheet view) they can see any comment you've added.
